At the beginning of 2018, exactly one year ago, I set my first new year resolution. I was determined to be able to travel at least one foreign country in any purpose. In March, I was awarded to study in Poland under Erasmus+, and it was the very first start of my traveling experience. I was not there only to study, but fortunately I had an opportunity to travel more or less than ten European countries. Some of those countries were:
1. Poland
Well, the first time experience to travel Europe must be Poland and exactly Opole where I stayed and studied. It is a beautiful small city with kind and friendly people. In Poland, I have traveled to many impressive cities. I stated my first official traveling to Krakow, the most beautiful city of Poalnd. I was there for two times firstly during Easter with my fellow brother and sisters and secondly with my friends from lovely Foreign Language Library of Opole. The next impressive city was tricity: Gdansk, Gdania, and Sopot which were recommended by my friend, Agata. I love the cities and will never forget them because of historical sites, beach and food. There were some places I went to in Poland including Wroclaw for 2 times, Czechtochowa and Katowice, and especially I fulfilled my dream to see such castles as Moszna, Malbork and Wawel and so on.
2. Czech Republic
The first outside-Poland country I traveled to was Czech Republic. It was amazing memory with my little mate, Lymey. I went to Prague with her, and I was so amazed by the Prague's castle. The castle is so big which to be considered as one of the largest castles in the world. I was so surprised to visit graveyard inside the castle which means the king(s) used to live, celebrate something, and be buried in the same placed.
At the second time, I went hiking at Jeseneky with International Students Office. The mounts are covered by green forest. It was so joyful since it was my first time hiking there. It was kind of shocking to me since I saw people cycling up to the mountains while I was struggled walking. Of course, I could not stop taking pictures, and I don't think I can forget that moment with those people at all.
3. Austria
I experienced staying in Vienna. Even though it is a bit modern to me, but I was so impressed by how this city valued museums. The most important site I love the most was the market square. There are a lot of museums; however, the fee is a bit expensive to us, so we decided to enter only few. Well, a funny thing, Lymey and I did not buy bus ticket (we kind of knew that we needed to, but we didn't), but fortunately there was no any inspector otherwise we could not imagine how we would react.
4. Hungary
The only city of Hungary I went to was only Budapest, the capital city. That was the only time I experienced Red Bus to visit sites in the city, which is my tip that you can visit each and every place. It was in Hungary where Lymey and I took the cruise in Europe. Recently Budapest has been named as the best city to visit in Europe, and I think it deserves this. It was amazing and I want to be there again.
5.Germany
It was two times to be in Germany, and it was so full of experience. I went there for the first time with my Prof. Wanke and friends for a project. As usual, all my friends with whom I went are all nice, caring and kind. We spent almost a week together visiting cities, eating and celebrating our Dr.Wanke's birthday. Then I went there again from Switzerland by Bong Phea, a Cambodian sister living in Switzerlnad. Some cities and places I went to included Cologne, Mainz, Bad Hanningen, Mainou, Adernach, Koblenz, and so on. Well, the island of Mainou is truly amazing.
6. Switzerland
A lot of people dream to see Switzerland, and I was so lucky to be there. Staying there around 1 week, I really need to thank my fellow-monk brothers and Bong Phea for bringing me there. I just can say that I am so lucky. The icy mountain amazed me a lot since it was where I saw so much snow for the first time. I was not surprised to see how much clean and fresh Switzerland was. I love Switzerland and had a chance to see many places within it.
7. France
France, one of most touristic countries in the world, gave me a lot of excitement. To see Tour Eiffel for the first time was a bit disappointing because it was in summer, and the grass was dying. Everything was beautiful of course, except the season. Thank Oum Srey for helping us and a Khmer pagoda for hosting us. It was memorable.
8. Belgium
Traveling to Europe's capital city, Brussels was unforgettable. The best thing to see in this capital of Europe is the town hall and the old town as overall. Thank a Pagoda for hosting and Ming Ming for helping us with food and transferring.
9. Italy, Thailand, Dubai and Luxembourg
Even though I have visited only a very small part of Italy, I promise myself to go there and enjoy more there soon. I spent few nights in Thailand for Visa processing but at least it was the first experience to travel abroad and flying. I landed on Dubai just for my flight transits but yeah...it was so adorable. Last but not least, I spent few hours in Luxembourg but I couldn't see anything; hope to see you again.
I need to thank everyone for making this journey possible and unforgettable.
My New Year 2019 resolution is to travel at least 3 countries in Asia.
Happy New Year!!!! Wish everyone all the best!!!

It is more than excited
